If you give a person a fish.

.Education is often referred to as the .great equalizer in a democratic society,. but classroom education is only a piece of the puzzle when it comes to ensuring that all children succeed.. Majority Leader Steny H. Hoyer (D-5th MD), Press Release dated May 15, 2007.

ALASA Academy is committed to taking a leadership role in providing educational and community services and promoting cultural diversity in Wayne County, NY. Its open door policy embraces all who desire to provide an alternative form of learning prepardness for their children. ALASA Academy works to provide affordable, first-class care and education by providing a broad range of integrated programs and services and innovative learning approaches. It directs all of its programs towards individual student success.

Instead of giving our students information, our Summer Programs and future After School Program teaches our students how to learn. They will learn for a life time. What is imporant to our students is important to ALASA Academy.

.Within the next few years ALASA Academy plans to expand its services and offer an After School Program for Wayne County children in grades K-9. Introduction of this program is dependent on completion of our year-round learning facility..

All offerings provide open access to an engaging, non-traditional educational environment where children can use exploration, creativity and technology to develop their potential as healthy, happy, contributing members of society. Our care-giving and activity based curriculum is specifically designed to remove barriers that stifle student growth. All programs reinforce basic social, listening and independence skills. All programs provide a small, bully-free, project based educational environment that enables students to freely explore individual interests and build a solid foundation for success as an adult. Pride and a strong work ethic are instilled through community service opportunities, working side by side with adults for local not for profit organizations (such as Save Our Sodus (SOS) and Cracker Box Palace).

Our students thoroughly enjoy our programs and are often unaware they are actually learning as they romp through their five fun filled days. Check out our Testimonials.
