Founded in 2003, the Alternative Learning Academy for Student Achievement, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the nurturing and development of Wayne County, New York children. It was started by a small group of educators, parents and community members to build personalized, creative, challenging, hands-on learning experiences for children in a bully-free, natural environment. At ALASA Academy we strive to ensure that every child.s life will be a success story no matter where they live or what school they attend. Our programming is located on a 700 acre working farm located on the shores of Great Sodus Bay.

Current offerings include week-long Children's Summer Workshops and a Fall Family Camping Weekend. All programs integrate exciting activities, problem-solving, personal growth and team-building skills with academics and community service. Working cooperatively with local schools and community organizations, we also provide Customized Workshops opportunities for children in the same environment coordinating the experiences with school curriculums and community organization goals.

Enjoy our website. We look forward to hearing from you!

NOTE: The 2009 Fall Family Camping Weekend is scheduled for September 11-13, 2009. This is a change from what has been previously published in several local magazines.
